Now retired, Mary enjoys quilting, making dolls, as well as, international travel. She has parasailed on Paradise Island in the Bahamas and white water rafted in the jungles of Honduras. She also shares a love of guns with her protagonist and is an excellent marksman. High on her bucket list was writing this, her first novel, and having it published. She promises four additional sequels to Alias, Julie Stewart.
Ellie Ralston, former CIA operative, is now in her mid-80‘s and recovering from a stroke suffered at her estate in Majorca, Spain.
Shortly before her stroke, she engaged a biographer to write her life story.
After recovering, she meets with the writer and begins relaying the details of her adventurous life, starting with the first of her alias’, Julie Stewart, which she used while running from an agency operative intending to do her serious harm.
After fleeing the agency following an assignment gone terribly wrong, and fearing for her life, she undergoes reconstructive surgery and moves to a remote lake town in the foothills of North Carolina.
There she begins writing a novel, and after settling in, quickly finds her life anything but isolated and serene, as well as her soul mate and the love of her life.
